Cream-colored oolite with small ooids and lighter crinoid fragments (~5% of rock). Billet. Very similar to W81-52, which has a nicer hand sample and thin section. Original label: Topmost Lias platform (crinoidal oolite) under Lower Ammonitico Rosso. Sept. 3, 1981.

GRD02MGT0: Corner of slide is chipped. Poorly sorted oolite. Most ooids are circular while others are oblong with shells in their core. Recrystallized bivalve shells amoungst the ooids. Polished thin in one corner. Considering the hand sample showed many echinoderm fragments, there is a lack of echinoderms in thin section. Sparrite matrix. (C. Eichler)
