Verbatim: Punta Gallito, Baja California, Mexico. From fossil collection of Nancy and William Schneider. Coordinates reflect the site designated "Punta Gallito" in Schneider, 1997 (Locality 1 in Table 1): "Furthest south lies the type locality which is directly south of Punta Gallito, a point 3.5 kilometers southeast of the mouth of Rio Mulege, at a GPS reading of 26¡51.744'N, 111¡54.784ÕW. This locality (Locality 1 in Table 1) contains a fauna that indicates an intertidal sandy substrate that was near a rocky area (Ashby & Minch, 1987) (Figure 3)." Years 1953-2012 reflect active shell-collecting years of Nancy D. Schneider and Bill T. Schneider before donation of this material.
