CR19-0064. Event: S6. Voucher to UCR. Piece of tentacle to Cordes lab, EC9421. Magnesium chloride used to relax. Ethanol material: tentacle piece (2 ml). Photos: 3996-4003, Ricoh 0700. Appears around timestamp 8:22:00: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXJjILOtUC8. Original ID octopus by Allison Miller. Subsequent ID by C. Seid: Graneledone sp.? Remarks by Mike Vecchione based on photos/video, 2022-03-29: "The octopod is [a] problem. It is definitely not a Graneledone. Actually, bathyal octopods in general are taxonomic problems. I suspect there are quite a few undescribed taxa and this may be one, possibly an undescribed genus. Somebody will have to examine the specimen in detail. ... The comment in the video about it inking when they collected it helps. From the photos, I could not take it confidently past "undescribed Octopodoidea". (http://tolweb.org/Octopodoidea/20194)".
