Notes from W. Newman: "R/V Helix was anchored off Sacrificios Island and we explore the mainland shore by small boat. The sample was collected by the late Alan Southward and I from a contemporary beach midden near a trail head leading inland where a dugout canoe was stashed. The trail head (~15°4134.22N, 96°13.15W) is visible on Google earth, as is the small reef flat we found developed going east on the beach is also visible there."
