Specimen #21. Verbatim remarks: "Stephanometra indica (form oxyacantha). Under dead coral head. 49 ft. (bag 8). Ray bases mahogany with round or elongated white spots; brachials beyond arm bases with brown borders fading through light brown or orange to white central triangle; P1 & Pa white; stiff oral pinnules banded brown & white; following pinnules light brown with dark brown tissue (ambulacra), yellow tips, and ~3 large white blotches, so that pinnule appears banded; two arm sections (one in proximal third and one in distal third) with series of 4-9 white pinnules, so that arm appears to have 2 white bands. Disk dark brown with white spots & elongated markings. 31 arms, R=155 mm. No symbionts. Arm in 95% EtOH."

Depth indicates range for specimens collected, 32-56 ft. Verbatim description: "Entrance to Ulong Pass. 07 134 Reef slope with broad spur & groove formations. Incoming current flowing inshore up grooves. About a dozen 3-4 ft sharks being cleaned by wrasses. All crinoids except C. bella deep in crevices, under ledges, among coral branches, almost all were not visible from above." Coordinates from Google Maps, Ulong Channel.
