Specimen #18. Verbatim remarks: "Comaster schlegelii. Deep within crevice; distal arms visible. 32 ft. Orange with white pinnule tips in situ. Centrodorsal brown; cirri white; rays light mahogany brown; pinnules black with white tips. R= 120 mm. White shrimp, 2 lg alpheids, 1 Allogalathea. Arm in 95% EtOH."

Depth indicates range for specimens collected, 32-56 ft. Verbatim description: "Entrance to Ulong Pass. 07 134 Reef slope with broad spur & groove formations. Incoming current flowing inshore up grooves. About a dozen 3-4 ft sharks being cleaned by wrasses. All crinoids except C. bella deep in crevices, under ledges, among coral branches, almost all were not visible from above." Coordinates from Google Maps, Ulong Channel.
