CR17-0845. From biobox 12. Hydrozoan. Attached to glass fibers of sponge CR17-0843. Isotope vial A4614. Voucher to UCR. Had Eupolymnia cf. heterobranchia (white tentacles) in tube attached. Hydrozoan and worm assigned same CR17 number and stored in separate tubes (5 ml for hydroids). Photos: 1265, 1266.

Cruise AT37-13. Details from dive logs and Animal_and_community_collections file. Victoria Orphan dive log: Entering into land of sticks sediment bottom with unusual stick like pointy trees about 0.5-1 m high. Stopped to collect one in Alvin biobox. Translucent glass-like thin rods/fibers, slight purple tinge. Twisted bundle of fiber optic like fibers. Very weird. Lots of crinoids, brittle stars and other creatures on the sticks. Took video survey of area 8 51.600; 85 7.868 heading 307º. Jorge Cortes dive log: Collection placed in Small Biobox Biosticks (actualy sponge silicous fibers) with crynoids, Stylaster type calcareous hydroid, Solanlaster-like hydroid.
