Cruise MR18-06 Leg 3. Mixed lot of ethanol-preserved polychaetes donated from the non-quantitative DeepTow vertical net by Miodeli Nogueira Jr: tube DT1 from first DeepTow event. Data from DeepTow report, reflecting start and end coordinates of the entire DeepTow event and the maximum depth reached. Vertical net collects material upon ascent. Maximum depth of 1600.4 m reached at coordinates 25-36.3677 S, 71-34.3060 W at 12:12 local time. Notes from Dhugal Lindsay's report: "Light level too low for one HDTV stream and comms/power went out 3 times on way down. Power lost during ascent. Many krill in upper oxygen minimum zone and also saw Vampyroteuthis, Chauliodus, Solmissus, Aeginura grimaldii etc." Donated 4 tomopterids (all morphospecies "A"?) and one scaleworm to Eulogio Soto.
