HOLOTYPE

A1401 (formalin, 2 anteriors; one is now A10628) and A1575 (ethanol posterior) were collected together. This record refers to one formalin anterior A1401, previously part of the same lot as A10628 (formalin, one anterior destroyed for slide preparation) and A1575 (ethanol, one posterior from either A1401 or A10628). GenBank sequence MF176765 belongs to either A1401 or A10628. Formalin material: anterior and dissected piece, likely of same individual, remaining (2 ml blue vial). Slides (5) originally labeled A1401, prepared from formalin individual A10628. Original field notes: "On red coral. 2 specimens in total. Formalin: 2 specimens. Ethanol: posterior. No photos." Original field database: "2 specimens in total. Formalin: 2 whole. Ethanol: posterior." Original identification "Parougia"; original ethanol vial marking "A4508 Parougia ETHANOL L1."

Start/end coordinates and depth range reflect sample collection events from cruise dive log. Overall dive coordinates and maximum depth from WHOI dive log: 09-01.817N, 09-01.817N (9.0303, -84.623); 1433 m. This locality was originally called "Mound Quepos" but renamed "Parrita Seep" on the ROC HITS 2018 expedition (AT42-03). This site is consistent with the locality details in Table 1 of Levin et al., 2015, and is within ~300 m of the "Parrita Seep" site visited on dive AD4990. Note that this site is 6.5 km (= 4 miles = 3.5 nautical miles) from the site of AD4506, also "Mound Quepos" at 1180 m, but the localities are part of the same geographical feature.
